honda recall and Kawasaki, Honda Motorcycle recall

Honda is recalling about 1.5 million vehicles in the U.S. to update the software on the automatic transmission to decrease the possibility of transmission damage.The update to the vehicle's automatic transmission control module software will ease the transition between gears to reduce the possibility of damage. No injuries or deaths have been reported related to this condition.

Honda is announcing this recall to encourage all owners of affected vehicles to take their vehicles to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Honda.

    2005-
    2010 Honda Accord (4 cylndr, models)
    2007-2010 Honda CR-V
    2005-2008 Honda Element.

In the affected vehicles, if the transmission is quickly shifted between Reverse, Neutral and Drive — such as when the driver is trying to dislodge a vehicle stuck in mud or snow — the engine could stall, or it could be difficult to engage the parking gear.

Affected owners will be notified beginning Aug.

Kawasaki, Honda Announce Motorcycle



Motorcycle makers Kawasaki and Honda are recalling certain models to fix problems that could put riders in danger because of engine or brake failures.

Kawasaki says it is recalling some2011 Ninja ZX-10 models because of an electrical problem.
