Paris Hilton,Anderson Cooper gets the giggles

Paris Hilton, who has been in the Philippines for five days, cut the ribbon to open a new handbag and store bearing her name today. Earlier this week, she announced her partnership with a property and resort development company and met Filipino world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee. ...

"Where in the world is Matt Lauer?" will be back in November. ... Is Kim Kardashian a wedding trendsetter or trend follower? ... Matthew McConaughey has joined the cast of Magic Mike, the Steven Soderbergh movie based on Channing Tatum's days as a male dancer/stripper. ... Does Leonardo DiCaprio have a new hybrid car? ... Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell stormed off Piers Morgan's CNN set last night and called him a "cheeky bugger" after he grilled her on witchcraft, sex and gay marriage. ... A frequent contributor to a jihadist website has threatened David Letterman, urging Muslim followers to "cut the tongue" of the late-night host because of a joke Letterman made. ...

And finally, the buzz o' the day is Anderson Cooper's complete crackup during last night's report on Gerard Depardieu urinating on an airplane. Cooper filled his report with potty puns, such as, "They saw an actual thespian actually thes-peeing."

What really got him laughing: "All I can say, they should thank their lucky stars it wasn't Depar-two" He laughed and laughed. We can hardly wait for his daytime talk show!

capybara Known as the largest rodents

Known as the largest rodents in the world and are usually found in South America, animal authorities are a bit puzzled by a capybara that's made its home at a California water treatment plant.

On July 22, 2011, Nick Kamp, a wastewater operator, reported spotting a capybara at the Paso Robles Wastewater Treatment Plant in California. As it turns out, sightings of the rodent have focussed on two nearby locales to the wastewater treatment plant.

Capybaras have heavy, barrel-shaped bodies and short heads with reddish-brown fur on the upper part of their body that turns yellowish-brown underneath. Adult capybaras may grow to 130 centimetres (4.3 ft) in length, and weigh up to 65 kg (140 lb). The top recorded weight is 105.4 kg (232 lbs).[14] Capybaras have slightly webbed feet, no tail and 20 teeth.[15] Their back legs are slightly longer than their front legs and their muzzles are blunt with eyes, nostrils, and ears on top of their head.

Two of the largest rodents in the world are roaming part of the Denver Zoo as "welcome guests."

Rodrigo and Gabriella, brother and sister capybaras, are living in the Tropical Discovery exhibit, zoo officials said Thursday.

The rodents look a bit like guinea pigs. They were born Feb. 17 and came to Denver from the Buffalo Zoo in New York.

A wild and rare capybara has been spotted out and about at a Paso Robles wastewater treatment plant, “consuming vegetation in the sewer ponds.”

It’s believed that the sighting is of the same capybara spotted in the area a couple of times over the past few years, and the massive rodent is apparently good at eluding capture and public appearances. A witness who first saw the creature described it as the size of a “small pig,” and wildlife experts say the creatures weigh between 100 and 120 lbs. in adulthood.

It’s actually about three cats who try to capture a capybara that has gotten loose in their neighborhood. The lead cat’s name is Celeste so I didn’t even get top billing. And the capybara is actually name Caplynn and is a girl, so I’m not all that happy about that. But it is a book about capybaras and it is loosely based on me, there aren’t many capybaras who can even say that much.

durian ,there are 100 plus clones in malaysia

There are more than 100 durian clones in Malaysia. A majority of them are local species. These clones are different in terms of tree morphology, flowering season, fruiting ability, fruit quality, immunity towards disease or pest and other agronomic characteristics.
Able to bear fruits faster (5-6 years after planting), consistent and plentiful fruiting.
The durian (pronounced  is the fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio and the Malvaceae family (although some taxonomists place Durio in a distinct family, Durionaceae. Widely known and revered in southeast Asia as the "king of fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk.

I was taught to eat durian by my father at the age of 4. Peeping into the kitchen late one evening, I saw my parents crouched on the floor over a makseshift carpet of newspapers, energetically ripping the husks of a stinky green fruit apart. I was more amazed with the enthusiasm of my parents towards their activity than the fruit itself. My father happened to look up and saw me watching quietly from the kitchen door,

And if you like it, you probably love it, and if not you probably hate it, even in cookie form. I myself have tried in vain to think of ways to use it as a secret ingredient. It’s just too unwieldy. (For the record, I have tried to like durian- I want to like it because I know it must be really special once you know its secret. I have tried five times with no success- I can barely get the smallest amount down.)

Well, durians have a strong smell and a unique taste. Could be that those who haven't seen others indulging in durians have doubts as to the fruit's fitness for human consumption. Judging by the fruit's smell, its flesh moves straight from unripe to rotten.

The ecstasy one feels while biting into the sweet and delicious yellow flesh of durian is something 'out of this world'. This culture of feasting on durians is now fast spreading to the city too.

There have been many attempts to make the taste of durian more palatable or to dilute it. Companies have, among other attempts, made it into chewy candy, flavored ice cream with it, made it into puddings, and put it into durian cream cookie wafers to present it to an audience wider than its diehard fans But the fact remains that you either like durian or you don’t, no matter where you come from.

Christine O'Donnell appears Tonight show

Christine O'Donnell appears on the Piers Morgan Tonight show to talk about her new book before walking off. O'Donnell refused to answer questions about gay marriage which host Piers Morgan said she addressed in the book.
Self-described trouble maker Christine O'Donnell appeared on the Piers Morgan Tonight show on Wednesday, trying to talk about her book, "Trouble Maker: Let's Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again."
O'Donnell, a tea party favorite, is best known in Delaware for defeating the heavily favored nine-term Congressman and former governor Michael Castle in the state's September 2010 Republican Senate primary. She lost in the general election to Democrat Chris Coons.

Outside of Delaware, she is perhaps most famous for her claim to have once "dabbled into witchcraft," and her subsequent ad in which she disclaimed possessing supernatural abilities.

Before coming on Morgan's show, she had already told Good Morning America that she regretted the "I'm not a witch" campaign ad. She said experts told her to do the ad, but that she has since learned to "trust your gut."

RELATED: How well do you know Christine O'Donnell? Take our quiz.

The trouble started when Morgan asked O'Donnell about a part of her book that discussed gay marriage. That's when O'Donnell accused him of "borderline being a little bit rude."

O'Donnell repeatedly urged Morgan to drop the topic of gay rights, but Morgan would not back down, asking another question about the Pentagon's repeal of its "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Morgan at one point looked as though he was trying to hold back a smile, and insisted, "I think I'm being rather charming and respectful."

O'Donnell said the gay marriage issue is not relevant or what she is championing, saying the book is meant to inspire the tea party movement to "bring America back to the second American revolution."

O'Donnell began looking off camera while asserting that Morgan should only ask her what she told him she wanted to talk about. At that point O'Donnell claimed she was being pulled away, as a handler tried to block the camera.

Morgan, for his part, didn't look particularly invested or bothered when he asked, "Where are you going? You're leaving?"

As O'Donnell removed her microphone she asked Morgan if he'd read the book, to which he said, "Yes, but these issues are in your book. That's my point. You do talk about them."

Then O'Donnell ended the interview.

the daily show discussed President Obama

On Tuesday night’s “Daily Show,” Jon Stewart summed up our potential default and mocked House republicans for “playing politics with our credit rating.”

Stewart discussed President Obama’s deal that offers tax increases for the democrats and spending cuts for the Republicans as well as his now famous “eat our peas” comment, but he saved most of his snark for members of Congress, specifically Speaker of the House John Boehner.

Howard Eskin's run as the "King" of drive time sports radio in Philadelphia is coming to an end.

Dan Gross, the gossip columnist for the Daily News, first wrote earlier today that "it's pretty certain that the Sportsradio 610 WIP AM host will not be hosting a daily talk show for the station after Labor Day."

Once again, last night on the Daily Show, Jon Stewart does it again, hitting both the right and the left. As for the media, SQUIRREL! Squirrel!!!! First up, Rick Perry wants to f-ck the shit out of America.

By Mark Pothier By the time he made it to “The Daily Show'' in March 2010, whistle-blower Harry Markopolos looked like one more Bernie Madoff victim. The man who saw through the super-swindler years earlier - but couldn't persuade regulators to act

A new book examines the way popular TV show “The Daily Show” uses rhetoric as a critique of the media and politics.

Gross hinted that while Eskin will hang up his fur coat on his daily late afternoon show, the "King" would remain with the station as an Eagles reporter.

Eskin addressed these reports on his show this afternoon and set the record straight about some of the changes happening on the Philly airwaves.

Employee picks? Thank you pudgy neck-beard counter guy for clueing me in to Philip K Dick AGAIN."

And as for author readings:

"The reality is there's nothing more depressing than seeing some pasty shut-in author bare his soul to a half-filled row of folding chairs. Believe me, I know."

Ouch.

Michele Bachmann's win and Rick Perry's jolt of excitement belong to the ages, and Ed Schultz thinks Barack Obama is Rick Perry's black cloud. (03:28)

University Miami football player, Engaged in more than 180

In 100 hours of jailhouse interviews during Yahoo! Sports’ 11-month investigation, Hurricanes booster Nevin Shapiro described a sustained, eight-year run of rampant NCAA rule-breaking, some of it with the knowledge or direct participation of at least seven coaches from the Miami football and basketball programs. At a cost that Shapiro estimates in the millions of dollars, he said his benefits to athletes included but were not limited to cash, prostitutes, entertainment in his multimillion-dollar homes and yacht, paid trips to high-end restaurants and nightclubs, jewelry, bounties for on-field play (including bounties for injuring opposing players), travel and, on one occasion, an abortion.

Yahoo! Sports was busily breaking a very sordid story about a convicted Ponzi schemer named Nevin Shapiro who allegedly bought the Miami Hurricanes as though it were a professional team early last decade, and claims he did some wicked things like paying Hurricane players "bounties" for hurting opponents.

donut very tasty and better for gust

A doughnut or donut (play) is a fried dough food and is popular in many countries and prepared in various forms as a sweet (or occasionally savory) snack that can be homemade or purchased in bakeries, supermarkets, food stalls, and franchised specialty outlets. They are usually sweet, deep-fried from a flour dough, and shaped in rings or flattened spheres that sometimes contain fillings. Other types of dough such as potato can also be used as well as other batters, and various toppings and flavorings are used for different types.so its very better for breakfast because its economical and neutralist and tasty as will .to use it with tea or milk is so suitable.

Quartet alarmed by Israel's settlement plans|updates

The Middle East Quartet, consisting of the US, Russia, the EU and the UN, has expressed concern over Israel's move to build 277 houses in the occupied West Bank and 900 houses in occupied East Jerusalem.

"The Quartet is greatly concerned by Israel's recent announcements to advance planning for new housing units in Ariel and east Jerusalem," the the mediating group said in a statement on Tuesday.

"This comes at a critical juncture with Quartet efforts ongoing to resume negotiations which are the only way to a just and durable solution to the  conflict," the statement said.

The statement came amid intense efforts by Tony Blair, the Quartet's special envoy, to get Palestinians and Israelis back into direct talks.

Israel approved on Monday the building of almost 300 new homes in Ariel, a settlement inside the occupied West Bank, taking the total to more than 2,700 new settler homes approved in the past two weeks.

The planned expansion has brought a furious response from the Palestinian Authority, which has shunned direct talks since Israel ended a moratorium on settlement building in September last year.

The US said it found the reports of new Israeli settlement plans "deeply troubling" and counterproductive to the US effort to restart Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

Israel has rejected international criticism insisting that the settlements are not an obstacle to direct talks.

Palestinians and Israelis are building up to a new diplomatic confrontation as  Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian Authority president, prepares to seek full United Nations membership at the UN General Assembly in September.

Israel says this is a threat to the peace process and the US is expected to veto any application to the UN Security Council.

Quartet divided

The Quartet itself has been divided in recent months over how to end the conflict that it has been trying for years to settle.

UN chief Ban Ki-moon, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a meeting in Washington last month and could not even agree on a joint statement.

The European powers want the Quartet to take a stronger role in efforts to get the Palestinians and Israelis back to the negotiating table, even if this means setting out the parameters for talks.

The US has pushed back such a move, diplomats said.

Blair, the former British prime minister, who has been the Quartet's special envoy since 2007, is working on a Quartet communique which he hopes could end divisions between the international powers and help get talks started again before the UN assembly.

"Those efforts are still going on. Tony Blair is in the centre of efforts trying to find the relevant wording to move forward," said a senior diplomat at the United Nations.

"Mr Blair is making progress. If you are talking about success -- not yet," the envoy told reporters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Syria protests continue and crackdown latest news

Anti-government protesters continue to take to the streets across Syria, despite reports of deaths and arrests as the military cracks down on demonstrators.

Rallies were staged in several locations after night prayers on Tuesday, including in Homs, Albu Kamal near the Iraqi border, Binnish in the north and in some Damascus suburbs.

Meanwhile, the Local Co-ordination Committees (LCC), an activist network, reported that at least two people had been killed in the coastal city of Latakia, where the military kept up an assault for the fourth straight day. One of the victims was a 13-year-old boy shot dead by a sniper, they said.

Rights group Avaaz said it had the names of nine people killed in the city, but the death toll was not confirmed by other activists, who said 36 people have been killed there since Saturday.

A resident of the al-Ramel al-Janoubi neighbourhood, who called himself Ismail, told Al Jazeera earlier in the day that gunboats and tanks had used in the assault. He said snipers were stationed around the city, shooting at anyone who ventured into the streets.

"What's happening is really severe ... The moment they see anything moving they will shoot it," he said.

Troops raided and destroyed houses in several neighbourhoods while gunfire could be heard, residents said.

"The heavy machine gun fire and bullets were intense in areas of Latakia, Ramel, Masbah al-Shaab and Ain Tamra for more than three hours," said the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The group said soldiers raided the Sqanturi area and made dozens of arrests.

'Waking up to gunfire'

"We have become used to sleeping and waking up to the sound of gunfire every day. The shooting usually comes from security forces based on rooftops of the surrounding schools," Yamam Alsham, from Al-Slaibeh suburb, told the AFP news agency.

The UN agency that aids Palestinian refugees in Latakia said that thousands of refugees have fled their camp which reportedly came under fire after President Bashar al-Assad's forces began shelling the city.

Regional powers have turned up the pressure on Assad

"A forgotten population has become a disappeared population because we have no idea of the whereabouts of as many as 10,000 refugees who fled Latakia over the last few days,'' said UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness.

elvis the so greatest love song

Thousands of Elvis devotees, candles in hand, walked in the humid night to the graves of Elvis and his relatives, some wiping away tears as they filed past. Flower arrangements and heart-shaped wreaths decorated the burial site as "If I Can Dream" and other songs played softly in the background.
Elvis Aaron Presleya (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was one of the most popular American singers of the 20th century. A cultural icon, he is widely known by the single name Elvis. He is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King".Two years ago Elvis, fresh out of a Memphis, Tennessee high school, was studying to be an electrician and fooling around with a “gee-tar” on the side. One day he made a recording, at his own expense, as a surprise for his mother. Instead his unusual style surprised the recording company manager, who surprised Elvis with a contract. His first professional platter. “That’s All Right, Mama,” set the local teen-agers on fire.

Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Presley moved to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family at the age of 13. He began his career there in 1954 when Sun Records owner Sam Phillips, eager to bring the sound of African-American music to a wider audience, saw in Presley the means to realize his ambition.
Elvis’ musical influences were the pop and country music of the time, the gospel music he heard in church and at the all-night gospel sings he frequently attended, and the black R&B he absorbed on historic Beale Street as a Memphis teenager.

In 1954, Elvis began his singing career with the legendary Sun Records label in Memphis.
Turn Off the Dark,” has apparently landed the lead role of Jeff Buckley in an upcoming biopic about the late singer-songwriter. This is the project that is being produced by Buckley’s mother, Mary Guibert, not “Greetings From Tim Buckley,” another Buckley-inspired film that will star Penn Badgley as the “Last Goodbye” crooner. Carney can sing, and he certainly looks a lot like Jeff Buckley, so they got at least that much right.

DETROIT, M.I. – Michigan used cars have faced plenty of changes over the past six months. From increases in demand to increases in prices, used cars are currently a strong focus in the auto industry. Still, questions remain about the future of used car pricing: Has pricing reached a plateau? Will it swing downward? Is another price increase possible?
MI Auto Times took a look into a question recently raised by Cargurus.com that has been asked as used car prices rise and fall: “Should the government mandate a used car price ceiling?”
It is a known fact that there will be some differences between new car and a second hand car. Quality wise, new cars are best. martin luther Holy Roman Emperor

Martin Luther (10 November 1483 – 18 February 1546) was a German priest and professor of theology who initiated the Protestant Reformation.[1] He strongly disputed the claim that freedom from God's punishment of sin could be purchased with money. He confronted indulgence salesman Johann Tetzel with his Ninety-Five Theses in 1517. His refusal to retract all of his writings at the demand of Pope Leo X in 1520 and the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Worms in 1521 resulted in his excommunication by the pope and condemnation as an outlaw by the emperor.
Daily Mail UK, by Staff Posted By: KarenJ1- Mon, 15 Aug 2011 17:12:08 GMT President Obama has reportedly compared himself and his agenda to that of Martin Luther King Jr. The respected D.C. blog White House Dossier says the remarks were made at a small, exclusive fundraiser on Thursday night in New York City. The event was hosted by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Veteran White House reporter Keith Koffler writes on the blog that people may have forgotten how Martin Luther King vilified and controversial and that nobody was more despairing at times.
The demands of study for academic degrees and preparation for delivering lectures drove Martin Luther to study the Scriptures in depth. Luther immersed himself in the teachings of the Scripture and the early church. Slowly, terms like penance and righteousness took on new meaning. The controversy that broke loose with the publication of his 95 Theses placed even more pressure on the reformer to study the Bible. This study convinced him that the Church had lost sight of several central truths. To Luther, the most important of these was the doctrine that brought him peace with God.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Foundation is humbled and honored to have the support and commitment of BET Networks to make sure the Memorial and dedication week reflect the dignity and inspiration of Dr. King's legacy," said Harry E. Johnson Sr., President and CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc.
Extreme simplicity and inflexible severity characterized their home life, so that the joys of childhood were virtully unknown to him. His father once beat him so mercilessly that he ran away from home and was so "embittered against him that he had to win me to himself again." His mother, "on account of an insignificant nut, beat me till the blood flowed, and it was this harshness and severity of the life I led with them that forced me subsequently to run away to a monastery and become a monk." The same cruelty was the experience of his earliest school-days, when in one morning he was punished no less than fifteen times.
artin Luther is the epic tale of the great Protestant revolutionary whose belief in his faith would overthrow the all-powerful Catholic Church and reshape Medieval Europe. Join Luther as he recalls his life, from his initial crisis of faith in a storm-wracked forest that led him to become a monk, to his heady confrontation with the great powers of Europe.
But what he understood, what kept him going, was that the arc of moral universe is long but it bends towards justice.  But it doesn’t bend on its own.  It bends because all of us are putting our hand on the arc and we are bending it in that direction.  And it takes time.  And it’s hard work.  And there are frustrations.

New System Star Reward System: Means one star for each question. Such system is liked by children and they are motivated through this system specially in Math.
After I had practised the SMO Junior questions and after my teacher asked us to complete the P5 thinkingMath@onSponge Conquer Problem Sums, I realised that something was wrong .
So, what exactly is the PROBLEM in problem sums?

To help you understand this academic task better, we are going to analyse and break down the steps and cognitive skills needed to excel in this section of the subject of Mathematics.
Even though sonshine boy can do multiplication, I wanted to make sure he truly, fully understand what it's all about. The best way, at least to me, is to give him a problem sum on multiplication to solve. Hence, I've been verbally throwing him a number of sums to solve. For instance, I'd ask him; if there are 3 fishballs in 1 stick and mummy buys 3 sticks, how many fishballs are there? Or I could ask if there are 9 sweets in 1 packet, mummy buys 4 packets how many sweets in all? Even though he can spew out the correct answers, I'd insist that he gives me the equation.
Much more than 30,000 students are using this Technique on Problemsums.com and its enhancing rapidly. With the Star Reward Technique, kids are motivated as they see their achievements as Hall of Fame on the internet site Problemsums.com.

Libya crisis,latest news

Fighting was reported in both Zawiya, just 50km (30 miles) west of Tripoli, and Gharyan, 80km to the south.

If the towns fall to the rebels, they would have Tripoli surrounded by land, with Nato blocking sea access.

In comments broadcast on Libyan TV, Col Muammar Gaddafi called on supporters "to get ready for the fight".

A spokesman for his government said both Zawiya and Gharyan remained "under our full control".

Col Gaddafi's short speech was his first public address since the rebels launched their offensive around Tripoli.

"Move forward, challenge, pick up your weapons, go to the fight for liberating Libya inch by inch from the traitors and from Nato," he said, in a statement in poor-quality audio early on Monday, described as live by Libyan TV.

There were unconfirmed reports, carried by the Reuters news agency, of a meeting between Col Gaddafi's representatives and rebels on the Tunisian island of Djerba.
Decisive moment

Foreign correspondents in Zawiya reported battles continuing between rebels and government forces a day after rebels pushed into the town in a dramatic advance.

Rebel fighters raised their red, green and black flag over the central market on Sunday, but gunshots and explosions could be heard in the town.

The rebels said pro-Gaddafi gunmen were sited on high buildings shooting at them.

Zawiya controls the main road west from Tripoli to the Tunisia - a key supply route for Col Gaddafi's forces.

Zawiya's oil refinery - the only one in western Libya - also supplies his forces with most of their fuel.
