the daily show discussed President Obama

On Tuesday night’s “Daily Show,” Jon Stewart summed up our potential default and mocked House republicans for “playing politics with our credit rating.”

Stewart discussed President Obama’s deal that offers tax increases for the democrats and spending cuts for the Republicans as well as his now famous “eat our peas” comment, but he saved most of his snark for members of Congress, specifically Speaker of the House John Boehner.

Howard Eskin's run as the "King" of drive time sports radio in Philadelphia is coming to an end.

Dan Gross, the gossip columnist for the Daily News, first wrote earlier today that "it's pretty certain that the Sportsradio 610 WIP AM host will not be hosting a daily talk show for the station after Labor Day."

Once again, last night on the Daily Show, Jon Stewart does it again, hitting both the right and the left. As for the media, SQUIRREL! Squirrel!!!! First up, Rick Perry wants to f-ck the shit out of America.

By Mark Pothier By the time he made it to “The Daily Show'' in March 2010, whistle-blower Harry Markopolos looked like one more Bernie Madoff victim. The man who saw through the super-swindler years earlier - but couldn't persuade regulators to act

A new book examines the way popular TV show “The Daily Show” uses rhetoric as a critique of the media and politics.

Gross hinted that while Eskin will hang up his fur coat on his daily late afternoon show, the "King" would remain with the station as an Eagles reporter.

Eskin addressed these reports on his show this afternoon and set the record straight about some of the changes happening on the Philly airwaves.

Employee picks? Thank you pudgy neck-beard counter guy for clueing me in to Philip K Dick AGAIN."

And as for author readings:

"The reality is there's nothing more depressing than seeing some pasty shut-in author bare his soul to a half-filled row of folding chairs. Believe me, I know."

Ouch.

Michele Bachmann's win and Rick Perry's jolt of excitement belong to the ages, and Ed Schultz thinks Barack Obama is Rick Perry's black cloud. (03:28)
