The Perseid meteor shower is underway. International observers are now reporting more than 20 meteors per hour as Earth passes through a stream of debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle. Forecasters expect the shower to peak on the night of Aug.
During Friday night's show of the meteor shower, the event was accompanied on stage by two companions — the full moon and the International Space Station gliding far aloft above American towns and rural territory, said Tony Phillips of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.see more detail about this news ,
The difference this year was the fact that it was going to happen on a full moon night, reducing the chances of the stargazers to get hold of the falling stars that may be otherwise visible in a black night.
The nearly-full moon will likely wash out some of the dimmer meteors, but the weather is forecast to be pretty nice over a large swath of the country tonight. For the best view, try to get somewhere dark, away from city lights. You don't need any special equipment to view the meteors, but if you're feeling adventurous, you might want to bring along a camera and tripod and see if you can get some good photographs. keep reading the newsexcel.com for the latest news and reports for all of you thanks .
