Newly Divorced Olivia Wilde Defends Kim Kardashian Divorce

It wasn't too long ago that Olivia Wilde called out people who are more infatuated with Kim Kardashian than serious topics like famine and disease, but now it seems the actress is coming to Kardashian's defense.

Kim Kardashian doesn't have to worry about one A-lister joining the boycott of her family -- Olivia Wilde has actually defended the reality show star. Early in October, Wilde and Italian prince Tao Ruspoli finalized their divorce after eight years of marriage (they separated in February). Olivia Wilde expressed to the New York Post that she understood how Kim must be having a hard time right now and said, "I empathize. It's not easy."

27-years old “Cowboys & Aliens” actress Olivia Wilde further said, "It's the hardest thing in the world. People judge you because divorce is seen as failure. [Kim] took a risk. No one should be attacking her. Our attention should be focused on things that are truly scandalous."

Olivia's divorce might have been a little tougher on her emotionally because she had eight years invested in her relationship, but while talks about knowing how hard it is being judged for a failed marriage, she really has no idea just how difficult this is for Kim.

Other celebrities haven't been quite as understanding and taken the opportunity to mock Kim. In fact, someone should probably make sure Olivia never finds out who Kim is, or else we’ll have to put her on suicide watch.

As of this posting, the petition, called “No More Kardashian,” has more than 129,000 signatures as well as a Facebook page dedicated to sharing the cause with more than 50,000 fans. Kardashian's reality show, Kim and Kourtney Take New York, premieres November 27 on E!.
