American Music Awards 2011 Red Carpet, Winners And Performances

A round up of winners at this year's American Music Awards includes Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and Adele. The 39th AMA's was held on November 20, Sunday at the Nokia Theater. The show’s opening performance teamed Minaj with David Guetta and a set design dominated by speaker imagery.

It appeared that many stars had the same idea as they stepped out in shimmering metallic dresses at the Nokia Theatre this evening. Metallic a la mode was definitely in the a la mode memo with Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Jennifer Hudson all shimmering and glimmering in gorgeous getup!

Wearing a yellow pair of LMFAO’s trademark Zubaz pants, Bieber hopped into the middle of the rowdy dance circle and shuffled out a chorus to “Party Rock Anthem” while wearing a sleeveless black shirt with the word “SEXY” emblazoned across the chest. J. Lo’s rendition of “Papi” essentially recreated her Fiat commercial, even going so far as to bring an actual Fiat onstage to serve as a backdrop while Lopez stripped down to a nude body suit with sparkles.

Taylor stunned in an impeccably embellished, Reem Acra strapless gown. Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” took the trophy to her home of Favorite Country Album”. She also won the award of “Favorite Female Country Artist Award”. “I can’t believe this is happening to me,” she gushed even though she won the exact same award just two years ago so, really, it was pretty believable.
