Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2011 Threatened From Occupy Wall Street

I read this story that the protestors of Occupy Wall Street fame have been threatening to disrupt the Thanksgiving Day Parade and I sincerely hope they do not, or if they do, I hope it’s contained quickly without interruption or media coverage.

Protesters of the Occupy Wall Street m
ovement, are threatening to disrupt the much anticipated Macy’s Day Parade this Thanksgiving in New York City. The protesters have threatened to disrupt this Thanksgiving tradition to get their Occupy Wall Street message out there to the parade audience, according to All Voices.

This year the cheerleaders will show their spirit along the streets of Manhattan from Central Park to 78t

h street down to 34th and 7th avenue. The parade is seen by an estimated 3 million people, who line the s
treets in front of Macy’s Department store, with another

50 million watching on TV.
In its 85th year, the parade is known for its huge balloons, singers, dancers, marching bands, clowns and celebrities.

  1. I hope Occupy Wall Street shuts down this antiquated tradition....americans are blind, hence we march in a vastly wasteful parade celebrating the genocide of native Americans. Forget the Macys day parade, we have greater concerns all u pathetic consumerism stricken sheep!
