Dita Von Teese Sizzles In 1950s Inspired Lingerie Line

Dita Von Teese has revealed the first look of her Von Follies lingerie line, which goes on sale in 2012. The DailyMail reports that Dita Von Teese Wonderbra line is a mix of vintage underwear with shapes from the 1950s and fabrics from the 1940s.

The 29-year-old Michigan native, who is also famous for her former marriage to shock rocker Marilyn Manson, plans to launch her Von Follies collection at Target department stories in Australia in February 2012. The collection, which includes high-waisted briefs, garter belts and fitted corselettes, is expected to subsequently go global.

According to SMH, Dita Von Teese’s new line of lingerie will be available from Target stores in Australia in February 2012. (You can also shop on their online store.) The Von Follies by Dita Von Teese collection will hit 172 Target stores across Australia, with additional pieces appearing in the spring.

"There are so many vintage lingerie pieces I love that I haven't been able to find in all my years of collecting," she said. "I wanted to design pieces that are tributes to my vintage obsessions, to make them beautiful and functional, while modernising them for everyday wear."

This isn't Von Teese's first foray into the realm of lingerie: her Europe-exclusive Wonderbra by Dita Von Teese line launched in September 2008 and was followed the next year by the Party Edition, also for Wonderbra. Prices start from around £10 for bras and briefs going up to £50 for bustiers and ?tted corsets.

The “Wonderbra by Dita Von Teese” line includes garter belts, panties, suspenders, thongs and, of course, bras inspired by old Hollywood glamour. But you don't have to go Down Under to find Von Teese-inspired clothing. She Tweeted that her lingerie line, as well as her new perfume and dress collections, will also be sold in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world next year as well.

Russian Newsreader Tatyana Limanova Fired After Obama Middle Finger Insult ‎

Online footage of the incident involving news anchor Tatyana Limanova went viral in both Russia and the West causing REN TV, her employer, huge embarrassment. Russian TV anchor and award-winning journalist Tatiana Limanova was recently taken off the air after giving the finger following the mention of U.S. President Barack Obama's name in a live newscast.

Award-winning REN TV presenter Tatiana Limanova allegedly made the gesture while reading Obama's name during a Nov 14 news item on the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference. Online footage of the incident has since gone viral.

She was looking down as she spoke about how Russian president Dmitry Medvedev would be assuming the head of the conference as part of the rotating chairmanship. "This does not diminish her guilt and cannot be considered an excuse. The REN-TV management views this action as the gravest violation of on-air discipline and a demonstration of unprofessionalism," the channel said, according to RIA Novosti.

"On 14 November during the 'News 24' programme the presenter Limanova made an unacceptable gesture that was a synonym for an offensive expression," it said in a statement. Given the timing of the segment, Ms Limanova may have thought that she was off camera when she 'flipped the bird', considering there was a cut-away video segment shortly following her move.

The spokesman said Limanova thought she was reading the news off-screen by the time she raised the finger, according to Reuters, which noted that it is uncertain if the anchor's duties would change after the incident. The channel, which is broadcast to 120 million people, claimed the gesture was intended for her colleagues in the studio rather than for President Obama.

This year, we're betting that 'American Idol' stars Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina are mostly thankful that turkey day is firmly behind them. The Season 10 winner and runner-up both had pretty bad experiences yesterday.

The 17-year-old Season 10 American Idol runner-up helped kick off the big game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers today by singing the National Anthem. She performed live in front of a television audience of millions week in and week out on Season 10 of “American Idol,” but at the Detroit Lions/Green Bay Packers game on Thanksgiving, Lauren Alaina’s nerves got the best of her as she flubbed.

After forgetting a few words and having to pause early in her performance, the singer recovered and got a nice ovation. An estimated 50 million viewers were watching as country crooner McCreery was revealed to be lip-syncing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

Miley Cyrus has shown her support for those involved with the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York with a new video.

Late Wednesday, Miley posted a video on the web of her song "Liberty Walk," featuring news footage of the Occupy movement that has spread from Wall Street to city streets and parks around the world.

The video clip went viral last night, as Miley's "Liberty Walk" is played over shots from the movement, all preceded by the words: This is dedicated to the thousands of people who are standing up for what they believe in.

Conrad Murray prosecutors seek four-year sentence

Prosecutors have asked a judge to sentence Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's former doctor, to the maximum four years in prison for his involuntary manslaughter conviction in the singer's 2009 death.

In a separate court filing, defense attorneys for Dr. Conrad Murray, 58, sought to convince Los Angeles trial judge Michael Pastor to sentence their client to probation.

"A person's medical or mental health status in the Los Angeles County Jail is protected under the law," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore tells E! News. But while there was no official comment on Murray's condition by his jailers, the doctor's team is not holding back.

Prosecutors David Walgren and Deborah Brazil wrote that Murray has shown no remorse for Jackson's death and has placed blame on others, including Jackson himself. In a sentencing memorandum delivered to Judge Michael Pastor in advance of a 29 November hearing, Mr Walgren said Murray had shown no remorse for Jackson's death.

Megyn Kelly's Pepper Spray Comments Spark Backlash

Ever since Megyn Kelly told Bill O'Reilly on Monday night that the UC-Davis protestors really were doused with a "food product," the Internet has lambasted the Fox News anchor for comparing pepper spray to something you might enjoy on Thanksgiving.

Thankfully for Fox fans, the host has since come to her conservative senses, appearing on Bill O’Reilly’s The O’Reilly Factor to discuss the controversial incident last weekend when more than a dozen UC Davis students were pepper sprayed during an Occupy protes. She said of the substance, “it’s like a derivative of real pepper. It’s a food product essentially.”

As Kelly later noted, the incident sent several people to the hospital and caused the school to place Lt. John Pike, another officer and UC Davis police chief Annette Spicuzza on administrative leave. Black Friday Occupied By Protesters Hitting Big Retailers Where It 'Hurts'

A segment of the Occupy movement plans to disrupt Black Friday by occupying some of the biggest countrywide retailers to demonstrate economic solidarity. Some don't want people to shop at all. Others just want to divert shoppers from big chains and giant shopping malls to local mom-and-pops.

This week the protesters will occupy parking lots rather than campuses and Zuccotti Park, in hopes of pushing consumers away from shopping malls and big changes, towards local, small businesses, the Associated Press reported. Some will even encourage people to not shop at all this Black Friday.

According to the Stop Black Friday website, the demonstrations will specifically target companies with many revenue, companies that are publicly traded, and companies that traditionally make huge profits every year on Black Friday. Nearly each one promises some kind of surprise action on the day after Thanksgiving, the traditional start of the holiday shopping season.

In Seattle, protesters are carpooling to Wal-Mart stores to protest with other Occupy groups from around Washington state. Washington, D.C., is offering a "really, really free market," where people can donate items they don't want so others can go gift shopping for free.

Although "Occupy Black Friday" is not meant to be an anti-capitalist movement, according to the group's website, supporters of Liberate Philadelphia/Liberate America claim that the entire "Occupy Wall Street" movement is not in support of a free market. The idea behind the protests is to definitively affect corporations, because the large corporations are the ones able to afford lobbyists, bigger campaign donations, and end up influencing American politics in ways that are not always positive.

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh Resigns

Yemen's authoritarian President Ali Abdullah Saleh agreed Wednesday to step down after a fierce uprising to oust him from 33 years in power. Saleh signed the agreement, brokered by Yemen's Gulf Arab neighbours, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Saleh, seated beside Saudi King Abdullah in the Saudi capital Riyadh, signed a U.S.-backed deal hammered out by

his country's powerful Gulf Arab neighbors to transfer his power within 30 days to his vice president, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi. The agreement cleared a key roadblock in the transition to a new era for Yemen, which has been the scene of violent protests for months as Saleh's opponents demanded he leave power after 33 years in office.

Live footage of the ceremony aired by Saudi state television on Wednesday showed Saleh sign the Gulf- and UN-brokered agreement in

Riyadh's Al-Yamama royal palace watched over by members of the Yemeni opposition as well as Saudi King Abdullah and Gulf foreign ministers.

"This disagreement for the last 10 months has had a big impact on Yemen in the realms of culture, development, politics, which led to a threat to national unity and destroyed what has been built in past years," he said. Before the deal's signing, a presidential source said Saleh would remain permanently in Saudi Arabia after he signed it.

Another Yemeni government official said it was unclear what Saleh would do. After signing the deal, Saleh said his government welcomes the partnership with what he called the "brothers in the opposition" and pledged a "real partnership" with them.

Kris Humphries Suing 'FAT ASS' Kim Kardashian for $10 Million

Reports are surfacing the Kris Humphries had been treating his wife of 72 days like dirt, and is now planning on suing her for $10 million. According to U.S. magazine, the breakdown of the relationship was in fact down to Kris Humphries and his mean behaviour.

Iraq war veteran J.R. Martinez has been crowned this season's winner on 'Dancing with the Stars,' capping weeks near the top of the leader board on the popular ballroom dancing show. J.R. Martinez ended a storybook chapter to ABC's Dancing With the Stars by hoisting the show's mirrorball trophy in victory following Tuesday night's finale.

Rob Kardashian led the scoreboard after Monday's performance show, but there was still a long road for the three finalists before claiming the mirror ball trophy. Black Friday 2011 is prompting other retailers to offer lower prices on some items than Walmart does. Amazon's Black Friday 2011 deals remain a mystery.

Many retailers including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Kmart and Sears got an early start to the Black Friday madness by leaking details of their promotions last week.

David Beckham’s Los Angeles Galaxy Wins MLS Title With 1-0 Win Over Dynamo

David Beckham finally conquered the United States this morning when he helped LA Galaxy to the MLS title. His Los Angeles Galaxy beat Houston 1-0 on Sunday to win Major League Soccer's MLS Cup, giving the English superstar the Hollywood ending he sought to his ground-breaking Galaxy deal.

The triumph put the finishing touches to a season in which the Galaxy produced the best regular-season record in the league and were unbeaten at home. Beckham's 12th minute corner should have led to Galaxy's opening goal, but Adam Cristman headed high over the bar from close range.

John Godfrey, writing for the New York Times, also picked up on the theme of Beckham delivering in sporting terms at the end of contract in the US where his commercial draw has been without question. His words after the match also suggested his time in America is possibly coming to an end.

Christopher Walken Hires Hawyer Over Natalie Wood Investigation

Christopher Walken is lawyering up. The investigation into the 1981 death of actress Natalie Wood was officially reopened on Friday, November 18, and according to The Hollywood Reporter. All eyes are on Christopher Walken this week after Los Angeles detectives reopened the case of Natalie Wood's mysterious death 30 years ago, which the coroner ruled as an accidental drowning.

Thanksgiving is just a few short days away. My turkey is sitting in the freezer and most of the rest of the ingredients I need for the big feast are sitting on a shelf in my pantry. Aliaa Magda Elmahdy apparently thought she was striking a blow for sexual equality and free expression in Egypt when she posted nude photographs of herself on a blog. Instead Ms. Elmahdy set off a wave of outrage here, stoking conservative Islamist sentiments that many liberals fear will undermine their prospects in the country's parliamentary election next week.

Some liberals feared that the posting by 20-year-old university student Aliaa Magda Elmahdy would taint them in the eyes of deeply conservative Egyptians ahead of Nov. 28 parliamentary elections in which they are trying to compete with fundamentalist Islamic parties.

Handler, who has never been married, said she felt for Moore, adding that she would never tolerate infidelity. "I absolutely feel for her," she said. "I'm a big proponent of valor and honor and valuing what you have in a relationship or someone else and being true to that and to yourself at the same time."

When asked how she felt about infidelity, Handler, who just broke up with Andre Balazs, said she "would not tolerate that." Kutcher responded on his chime.in page, posting: "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Natalie Wood Case Reopened: Robert Wagner Not A Suspect

Hollywood actor Robert Wagner is not a suspect in the reopened investigation into the death of his wife, actress Natalie Wood, in 1981, LA county sheriffs say. The captain of the boat that Wood, a major movie star at the time, mysteriously vanished from in 1981 is now blaming veteran actor Wagner for her death. Homicide Bureau Lt. John Corina shed little light on what sparked the new probe into the Oscar-nominated actress's drowning near Catalina Island off the California coast in 1981.

At the time, police said Wood, 43, accidentally fell overboard and drowned. Now the boat's captain, Dennis Davern, is telling something of a different story. In the best-selling Pieces of my Heart, Wagner offered his account of the fateful night that Wood went missing, confessing his own feelings of guilt involving her untimely death.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant John Corina of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department told a news conference his office had "received information which we felt was substantial enough to take another look at this case", but that Ms Wood's husband was not involved. But, he said, her Thanksgiving weekend death while boating with Wagner and actor Christopher Walken on the couple's yacht is still considered an accident, as the original inquiry concluded.

Robert Wagner has only released a statement since the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department has reopened the case surrounding the death of his late wife. On the Today Show Friday, Davern even went so far as to say that Wagner, now 81, was "responsible" for Wood's death.

The police said that, "We have several sources coming forward with additional information and we have found it credible enough to take another look at the case." Davern told NBC's "Today" show on Friday that he made mistakes by not telling the truth about events leading to the death and had urged Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide investigators to reopen the case.

Rapper Heavy D, who was known for his free-flowing, playful hip-hop style, was remembered by family and friends -- and President Obama -- in a funeral service held today in New York.

"We extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism and many contributions to American music. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers," read the note from the Obamas, according to the Rev. Al Sharpton, who quoted from it during the service.

The service was held at the Grace Baptist Church in Heav’s hometown, where guests included Jay-Z, Will Smith, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Mary J. Blige and former Heavy D & the Boyz group members, DJ Eddie F and G-Whiz.

Xea Myers, Heavy D's 11-year-old daughter, also spoke briefly, telling the audience that her father was "still here, not in the flesh, but in the spirit." Dwight Arrington Myers, a.k.a Heavy D, died Nov. 8 at the age of 44 in Los Angeles. His autopsy reports remain inconclusive and more tests will be needed to determine exactly what killed the rapper.

Heavy D was returning from a mall at around 11:30 a.m. and was climbing a set of stairs at his condominium when he experienced trouble breathing, according to the condo staff, who tried to help him to his home. “We had great memories on the road because we toured with Heavy for a couple of years,” Wiz said of the time Kid 'n Play spent with the Overweight Lover.

The self-proclaimed "Overweight Lover" was born in Jamaica but reared in Mount Vernon, which he dubbed "Money Earnin' Mount Vernon." It was also the home of Sean "Diddy" Combs. "Silently he's been influential in a lot of our careers," Usher said after the service. "His love still lives on."

“Many movements in Egypt, particularly Islamist movements, are trying to benefit,” said Emad Gad, a parliamentary candidate from the left-leaning Egyptian Social Democratic Party. “They say, ‘We have to protect our society from things like this, and if the liberals win then this woman will become a model for all Egyptian women.’ ”

Elmahdy’s Facebook page had posts for and against her. She had posted a poll asking, “Do you agree with Aliaa Magda Elmahdy?” There were 662 “No” votes and 261 “Yes” votes. More than 2.1 million people have viewed her blog, and it has received more than 10,000 "likes."

She tweeted: "I took my nude photo myself in my parent's home months before I met @Kareemamer [her boyfriend] and I'm atheist since I was 16."

"My view is that the veil is not a personal choice in Egypt, but the results of religious and social pressure," she said in Facebook. "The women with head veil that I know wear it because of their families or because they don't want to be beaten in the streets. 20-year-old college student Aliaa Magda Elmahdy has sparked outrage in Egypt by posting naked photos of herself to her blog as a protest against the country's conservative culture.

Aliaa Magda Elmahdy’s photos netted 1.5 million views on her blog since she posted them earlier this week, saying the pictures are “screams against a society of violence, racism, sexism, sexual harassment and hypocrisy,” the Associated Press reported.

Some liberals feared that the posting by 20-year-old university student Aliaa Magda Elmahdy would taint them in the eyes of deeply conservative Egyptians ahead of Nov. 28 parliamentary elections in which they are trying to compete with fundamentalist Islamic parties.
