While there were no specifics on whom the “selected players” might be, those that want a shot at getting in the beta can still sign up on the website at the link below. It’s always difficult to summarise a situation as fluid as this, but here it goes:

1. You can order box copies of SWTOR from online retailers in the US or anywhere willing to sell them. A "reliable senior retail source" told CVG to expect the game's release in November, but as of yet, EA has yet to pigeon-hole themselves into anything concrete.  Leading up to the release, expect a beta for the MMO in the month of September to get the game ready for launch.  The beta will be conducted in a series of weekends where sign-ups have already begun.
