star wars the old republic

Star Wars: The Old Republic, abbreviated as SWTOR or TOR, is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game based in the Star Wars universe.[3][4] Currently in development by BioWare Austin and a supplemental team at BioWare Edmonton, the game was first announced on October 21, 2008, at an invitation-only press event. The first thing you're going to see when you start a new character in Star Wars: The Old Republic is the iconic Star Wars text crawl. The development team was adamant about recapturing the magic of the movies, and so it felt it was important that every class receive its own introduction in this fashion. In addition to this intro, each character class will also have several hundred hours of unique story content, with Dickinson adding that players "will not see one duplicate mission" between the classes during their personal story missions. There will of course be the regular “Standard Edition,” which includes a disc containing the game software, along with 30 days of access. (A subscription will be required to play the MMO beyond those first 30 days.) It will retail for $59.99.According to Google, The poster further goes on to say, "I know what it is like to be in the position of the player and say 'but that this spring in the bite-me-the-node?' And that, of course, we cannot tell you for fear of the grill."Thankfully, community manager Stephen Reid said on Twitter that the MMORPG will not be region locked, opening the possibility of import to those outside Europe and the US.

No release date has been set for The Old Republic, but BioWare will host beta test weekends beginning in September.

Sony Hacked Again, 24.6 Mln Users' Data at Risk

BEIJING: Hackers may have stolen personal information of 24.6 million Sony Online Entertainment users, the company disclosed Monday afternoon.

The compromised accounts were in addition to the recent leak of over 70 million accounts from Sony's PlayStation Network, an online game and entertainment service for its PlayStation 3 console.

The Japanese electronics company said the break-in also led to the theft of 10,700 direct debit records from customers in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain and 12,700 non-U.S. credit or debit card numbers.

The Sony Online Entertainment network, used for massively multiplayer online games like EverQuest, Star Wars Galaxies and Matrix Online, has been suspended temporarily, Sony said Monday.

The entertainment network is separate from the PlayStation Network, but both hacks have similar traits, said Mai Hora, a spokeswoman for Sony Computer Entertainment in Tokyo.

In both cases, the stolen data includes customer names, e-mail addresses and hashed versions of their account passwords. That data could be used to spam customers or trick them with phishing e-mails.

Sony is working with the FBI to track down the intruder and its forensic detectives are continuing to investigate the extent of the break-in.

Monterey Bay Aquarium's new Open Sea exhibit

Our readers also like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of our personal favorites for its groundbreaking and continuing research into the waters it sits next to and ironically housed in a former sardine cannery.
Out to sea and on the go—life’s in constant motion in the open ocean. Or so it might seem on first impression.

But a closer look reveals a whole universe of life found on the constantly changing palette of blues, grays and blacks that make up the colors of the water in a zone known as the "pelagic" (from the Greek) or, more commonly, the open sea. It's all part of a $19 million transformation that re-opened the big tank to the public on Saturday.

"It's been like remodeling a 30,000 square-foot home while 18 people are living in it," said David Cripe, special exhibits coordinator at the aquarium.

"We stressed over how we were going to move things and catch things. But we got it done two weeks ahead of schedule."

The exhibit, rechristened "the Open Sea," features new species in the big tank and other nearby displays, including a sand bar shark from Oahu, tufted puffins and other seabirds, a high-tech interactive video wall display on plankton, deep sea jellies and numerous art installations.

Yuvraj Singh denies dating Bangalore model Akshara Gowda

Yuvraj Singh has vehemently denied media reports he is dating little known Bangalore model Akshara Gowda.

"I am really annoyed with the reports published in a leading daily today. I very strongly deny the story. I would like to put this on record that I have never met this girl (Gawda) personally," Yuvraj said.

One of the most eligible bachelors in the country, the 29-year-old has often been linked to Bollywood actresses and top models. His stocks have soared to an all-time high after his recent exploits in India's historic World Cup triumph.

"It's really unfortunate that people can create such fiction and there's not an iota of truth in this entire story. I request the media to state the facts and please don't create stories out of nothing," an upset Yuvraj added.

Such has been his displeasure that Yuvraj tweeted for his fans and friends urging them not to believe in these rumours.

"It is absolutely ridiculous and please stop linking me to everyone and anyone," he tweeted.

Salman khan compered to Madhuri

Salman Khan, star of 2010 Bollywood box office champ Dabangg has decided to go for the gold again.
Before Dabangg, Salman had a long dry spell (in Bollywood terms, anyway), but with that film he was able
to take his tough guy/bad boy image and turn it to his advantage with the role of corrupt police officer
Chulbul Pandey.  A south Indian style good guy with a bad attitude.  Chulbul fought the rowdies and
dispatched them in proper filmi style.

Salman Khan is full of praises for his co-star Asin. With their upcoming film “Ready” all set for release,
Salman has gone a step further and compared Asin to Madhuri Dixit.

The Dabangg actor said, “It’s a family entertainer, and there’s everything good about the movie, including an
ideal woman just like Madhuri in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. In ‘Ready’ it’s Asin.”

On being compared to a diva, Asin stated “Madhuri remains unmatched. If I could be even five per cent of her,
I would’ve achieved much.”

The actress said further, “However, I have tried to bring to the role what was required of me. I have been
honest in my intentions, and I hope that works.”

In the mean time, it’s being said that the actress, who rose to fame from the movie Ghajini is very fond of
Salman.Ready is a remake of the Telugu film of the same name from 2008, but you can rest assured that the

Bollywood version will be bigger and more colorful.  The film was shot mostly on location in Sri Lanka and
Bangkok, with some excellent driving stunts and Muay Thai-ish stunts on view in the trailer.  The director,
Anees Mazmee is also responsible for Akshay Kumar's biggest film, Singh Is Kinng, a film which changed the
world by bringing Akshay Kumar and Snoop Dogg together for a duet that may never be surpassed.

Zaheer Khan ready to marry Isha Sharvani?

After the World Cup win, Zaheer's parents want
him to settle down with Isha and the obedient son has apparently relented.

If all goes well, the couple will tie the knot this year. A source close to the couple informed Mumbai Mirror
“Ever since they gave their relationship a second shot, they have come even closer than before. Wedding bells
are in the offing.”

It may be recalled that Zaheer and Isha felt a soft corner for each other in 2005 after meeting at various
events and parties. However, they parted ways after seeing each other for two years. Their love story didn't
end there though. They rekindled their relationship last year, and now, we hear that they are set to walk
down the aisle.

It seems the wedding day is not far off for the couple. “Ever since they gave their relationship a second shot,
they have come even closer than before. Wedding bells are in the offing,” Mumbai Mirror quoted a source close
to the actress as saying. Isha neither admitted nor denied the news by saying that she didn't want to comment
on it.

Isha's parents reside at Vellayani Lake near Trivandrum . They founded an arts school called Academy for Art
Research, Training and Innovation (AARTI)[2] where she lived for 13–14 years. At the age of seven, she began
formal learning of dance from her mother and learned Kalaripayattu, Kathak and Chhau dance as well as giving
performances in twenty-two countries over last seven years.

Since then she has continued her dance performances on stage, as well as signing for several additional movies
which were released in 2006 and 2007. She appeared as a female lead in the Hindi comedy Darwaza Bandh Rakho
in 2006. She has mentioned she would be open to acting in Bengali films, provided that the roles are of her
interest. And though she has shown that she has tremendous dance skills, still she has not been offered a
demanding role which requires her to show her dancing skills in any other movie.
