Sinead o Connor with a very Rare pic

It's hard to believe this is the same woman who once

declared she would never be without a head of shaven hair.

Sinead O'Connor became renowned for having a

bald head after she stared into the camera and sang the now

iconic song, Nothing Compares 2 U.

When O'Connor arrives, I barely recognise her. Her

hair is a black bob, her face rounded, she is wearing a

three-piece suit and has the air of a mid-20th century industrialist. A big brass cross hangs down her front.

"That's my ordination cross. Normally I tuck it into my bra," which she does as she speaks. She suggests we

retire to the shed-cum-office in the garden. So we stroll past the hanging linen, a few guitar cases, two

Yorkshire terrier puppies, the cat, and she chats away confidently, and we reach the wooden hut and shut the

door on the world. Then everything changes.

That's becoming a theme of this year's Manchester international festival, with the tone set by Björk on

Thursday. She performs Biophilia again this afternoon. Kitty Empire has reviewed the show here and in

today's Observer. I'm sure Björk will also be pretty thrilled that the New Scientist has written about it in approving terms.

Now he had another chance to show off his thuggery. On June 21, a procession took place in Jerusalem in

support of the city's division, under the slogan "Two Capitals, Two States."

another company was ready and willing and enthusiastic to release but wanted the deal finalised first before it

would begin to discuss the, again, finer, important detail of what promotion/marketing/etc. campaigns would

be undertaken in individual territories. when i pushed them for that information, i was told i was being 'gnarly'

which, of course, met with a short, sharp response!
