Verizon iPhone coming January 2011, says analyst

Apple iPhone 4 expected to hit Verizon Wireless January 2011, says analyst
Just about as popular as the iPhone 4G rumors, inevitably leading to the release of the iPhone 4, the Verizon iPhone reports continue; this time it’s coming from Bloomberg. On the TV show “Street Smart”, Rodman & Renshaw senior technology analyst Ashok Kumar explains how the AT&T hold on Apple’s smartphone will be ending this year, giving way for Verizon Wireless to offer the iPhone in the U.S. this January 2011.
Verizon Wireless is the largest U.S. mobile phone carrier, and Apple is all about numbers now. As you saw with their 1.7 million iPhone 4 units sold in just three days. Giving up exclusivity and selling through Verizon will make millions of people quite happy. UBS AG analyst John Hodulik in an interview with Bloomberg expects Verizon customers to buy 3 million iPhones per quarter, according to his estimates. That can quickly reach new records considering Verizon had 92.8 million customers at the end of this quarter.
